Queniborough rout Bottesford to win Golding Shield
Hosting the match at their Barkby Road ground, Queniborough won the toss and elected to field first on a damp pitch.
Their bowlers were top form and with some exceptional fielding they dismissed the young Bottesford side for only 58 runs in 28.2 overs.

Hide AdPick of the Queniborough bowlers were Jim Payne who took four wickets at a cost of eight runs from 6.2 overs, three of which were maidens, and Bapodra who collected 3 for 13 from eight overs.
The other wicket-takers were Callum Smith and Nilesh Patel, while man-of-the-match Bapodra added to his wickets with an excellent catch and a run-out.
Andy Morley, at number four, and Ian Seymour, at seven, top scored for Bottesford with 12 and 10 respectively.
After the tea break the Queniborough innings started slowly with Bottesford’s bowlers opening with two maiden overs, but this was not to last.

Hide AdOpeners Ram Bapodara and Sam Payne soon got at the visitors’ attack and thanks to come big hitting reached the required total in just 9.2 overs.
Ram hit five fours and two sixes on his way to an unbeaten 38, while wicket-keeper Sam Payne hit three fours in his 21 not out to cap a one-sided game.
