Junior players were measured up to make sure they are using the right size and weight of bat and then matched with a blade that suits their level of cricket and style of play.

The visits were organised by Melton Sports.

Owner Michael Cooke said: “Kam Jethwa of GM joined us at two of the net sessions and was able to give players information about the grades of willow used in bat manufacture and how to care for their bats.”

“It can only help to build to the start of another exciting season for Egerton Park through all the age groups.”
