Barkby United CC collect their county prizes

Barkby United Cricket Club were rewarded for their successful season at the Everards Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket League dinner and presentation night.

The trophies were presented by former England test cricketers Allan Lamb and Ronnie Irani at the Athena Theatre, in Leicester.

Barkby’s second team won the Division Four East trophy, while the Third XI were presented with the runners-up prize for Division Eight East.

* Barkby United CC is encouraging members to have their say ahead of their annual meeting.

It will be held at Barkby Village hall on Friday, November 24 from 7pm.
