* The week’s best rainbow weighed 5lb 8oz taken by Alec Ferguson who returned it safely to the water. Mick Griffin, meanwhile, had a nice 4lb-plus rainbow. Rod average was 1.9.

* Grafham Water has been consistently good again on both boat and bank with a 3.3 rod average.

Numerous areas have been productive such as G buoy, the Willows and the north end of the dam, south dam, The Seat and Deep water Point. In these areas, the fish have largely been close to the bank.

Because of the confirmed presence of dikerogammarus villosus at Grafham, more bio-security measures are in place to ensure the shrimp is contained on site. Anglers therefore must follow new rules when fishing there.
