There are few things better than a piping hot cup of tea, especially first thing in the morning.

Team it with a slice of buttered toast topped with a lashings of jam and you’ve got the perfect breakfast.

Now Yorkshire Tea is launching a brand new and unusual flavour of tea inspired by the popular breakfast combo.

Toast and Jam brew

Yorkshire Tea’s new Toast and Jam flavoured brew is a black tea, laced with the subtle taste of toast crumbs and fruity jam. The innovative blend has been sourced and blended from natural ingredients and has the added benefit of being gluten free.

While fruit flavoured teas are typically made with just hot water, the connoisseurs at Yorkshire Tea reckon this blend is best served with a dash of milk.

The quirky flavour is not the first unusual creation to be launched by Yorkshire Tea, with the company unveiling a Biscuit Brew back in 2018. The sweet flavoured tea was intended to perfectly capture the malty taste of dunking your favourite biscuit into a cuppa.

The Toast and Jam brew will join the both the Biscuit Brew and the decaf Bedtime Brew to make up the speciality range.

Where can I buy it?

The Toast and Jam tea will be available exclusively in Asda from Thursday 24 September 2020, and comes packaged in a brightly coloured pink box.

The blend is priced at £2.29 for a box of 40 tea bags.

While it will first appear on shelves in Asda, tea fans will be able to pick it up in other supermarkets later in the year.
