Sweepstakes have become a big tradition in the English workplace and there's sure to be plenty happening before this tournament begins in Russia.

It's a difficult tournament to predict this year, so we've called upon the bookmakers to reveal their top tips for the tournament.

Perhaps no surprises here as Brazil and Germany (both 9/2) are the current favourites to win the tournament.

Also worth a shout are Spain (6/1), France (6/1) and Argentina (9/1).

Don't complain if you pull any of those five out of the hat!

Any dark horses?

There's plenty of dark horses who could give you an outside chance of winning.

Belgium (10/1) are always a good outside bet, but seem to struggle in major tournaments.

Meanwhile Portugal (25/1) are the reigning European champions and could well be a threat.

Uruguay (28/1) and Croatia (33/1) are the other dark horses who might not be the worst teams to pick up in the sweepstake.

Who do I want to avoid?

There are plenty of long shots who you will want to avoid.

Saudi Arabia (2000/1) are the tournament's big outsiders, and are closely followed by Panama (1000/1) and Tunisia (1000/1).

You'll do well to avoid these teams in the sweepstake, otherwise you may be saying goodbye to your entry fee.

What if I get England?

While the nation may not hold out much hope for England, the bookies are tipping them as outsiders.

With odds of 16/1, the Three Lions might not be the worst team to pull out of the sweepstake this year.
