Valentine's Day activities are a hit with families at St Mary's Church

Cutting out hearts to make cards, making flowers and sampling the delights of a chocolate fountain were just some of the activities going on for Valentine's Day at St Mary's Church.

The theme was Be My Valentine and there was a splendour appearance from the Queen of Hearts .

For those with a head for heights there was also the chance to climb 143 steps to the top of the chuch tower and Chris Booth, a local vet, won a £40 voucher for a meal for two at The Spice Club in Melton.

A spokesperson for the church said: “If you missed our latest activities morning make a note of our next one on Saturday, March 19.

“There will be a special appearance of our very own Easter bunny and lots more fun activities to enjoy for all the family.”
