Welby Lane in Melton to close for up to 10 weeks
A busy Melton route will be closed to traffic for up to 10 weeks from next month.
Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to the temporary closure over the brook along Welby Lane.
The road will be closed from January 8 to safely allow County Hall contractors to undertake maintenance works to a highway structure.
The diversion route will be via Nottingham Road, St Bartholomews Way, Welby Lane, and vice versa.
The county council said it apologises for any inconvenience caused during these works.
