A motorcyclist aged in his 60s is in a crtical condition following a collision with a van near Harby yesterday afternoon (Tuesday).
The man was taken to hospital after the incident, on Langar Lane at around 3.10pm, and detectives are keen to speak to any witnesses.
Leicestershire Police say a white Fiat van was in collision with a Triumph motorcycle as both vehicles travelled from Harby towards Langar.
As a result of the collision, the motorcycle then collided with a Renault Traffic van, which was parked on the side of the road.
The motorcyclist was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre, in Nottingham, where remains in a critical condition.
Det Con Michael Woods, the investigating officer, said: “I’m particularly keen to speak to the driver or occupants of an unidentified van which was travelling behind the Fiat van before the collision happened.
“I’d like to speak to anyone else who was travelling on Langar Road and who saw any of the vehicles involved prior to the collision.
“The motorcyclist has suffered very serious injuries.
“If anyone saw what happened then I would ask them to please get in touch as I believe they may have information that could significantly help with my investigation.”
