Time running out for Melton people to have say on future of town's public loos
So far Melton Council has received over 100 responses to its consultation but it wants as many people as possible to give their views on a range of options which include cost-cutting proposals to replace two of the town’s main loos with semi-automatic toilets.
A council spokeswoman said: “Initial results show that there’s support for the semi-automatic toilets but people are not keen on themed toilets. The council is looking for as many views as possible.

“Council staff will be in the town centre on Tuesday (February 16) to ask people to fill in the survey.
“Also the councillors’ surgery stall on Saturday, February 27 will help people fill out forms and answer any questions on the toilets.”
The consultation ends on March 1.
