Baking supremo Mary Berry has accidentally revealed which Great British Bake Off contestant will be booted off tonight.

GBBO judge Berry slipped up on Chris Evans’ radio show this morning and revealed that Dorret Conway, 53, from Penwortham is no longer in the running to be crowned bake off champion.

The third episode, bread week, is due to air at 8pm tonight but Berry named the BAE systems project accountant as one of the contestants that had left the competition.

Evans said: “Well we’ve already lost two. You don’t hang around do you, Mary?”

But Berry appeared to believe that three people had already left the contest.

She said: “Wait a minute, we’ve lost three.”

Evans, trying to help, said: “Have we lost three?”

But then Berry dropped the clanger.

She said: “Yes we have. We lost Marie last week, Dorret and on the first week it was our lovely chap with his little hat on.”

Chris then tried his best to cover up the slip, saying: “But you’ve only lost two so far. There’s another one tonight, you know that but we don’t.

Berry then appeared to backpedal and recover from her mistake.

She said: “Oh yeah... then if we lose another one tonight...”
