Three to stand in by-election for Whissendine ward

A notice of poll has been published for the Whissendine by-election, which takes place Thursday, March 3.

The Rutland County Council seat for Whissendine ward was vacated by Sam Asplin, who stepped down from his role in November due to ill health.

The polling station will be The Memorial Hall, Main Street, Whissendine. Polls will open at 7am and close at 10pm.

The candidates are:

Christopher Clark (Con)

Marietta King (UKIP) Kevin Thomas (Lib Dem)
