Conservatives host Foreign Secretary's dinner

The Leicestershire & Rutland Conservatives hosted an evening dinner with the Foreign Secretary, The Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP, last Thursday in support of police and crime commissioner candidate Neil Bannister.

Area chairman Leigh Higgins, one of the event organisers, said: “It was our pleasure to host the Foreign Secretary’s dinner at Greetham Valley, Rutland.

“It was well attended by over 200 people, including five Leicestershire and Rutland MPs. They included our Rutland and Melton MP, the Rt Hon Sir Alan Duncan, along with supporters and Conservative Party members.

“It was a real insight to hear from Mr Hammond on many issues of state, but also his endorsement of Neil Bannister.”

Mr Bannister, the Tory candidate to be next Leicestershire and Rutland police and crime commissioner, also spoke about his plans.
