Police name biker killed in Bottesford

Police have named the motorcyclist who died after a collision on the A52 in Bottesford yesterday.

The collision was reported at 8.35am and involved a Vauxhall Insignia and a Honda motorcycle.

The motorcycle rider was 25-year-old Christopher Williams, formerly of Wolverhampton but was living in Derby. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured.

A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The motorcyclist was travelling towards Grantham and the car was being driven in the opposite direction when the collision occurred.
