All traffic is advised to leave the A1 southbound and follow the diamond symbol via the A46 southbound. This route will go through Newark and Saxondale. Traffic will then take the A52 eastbound to rejoin the A1 at Grantham. The Northbound diversion will also use this route.

Grantham wholetime and retained fire crews joined crews from Corby Glen, Newark and Brant Broughton at the scene at 1.30am.

Two fire crews are reported to be at the scene damping down this morning, but police say the A1 will remain closed while debris is cleared from the carriageways and emergency resurfacing of the road is carried out.
