Pera makes a splash for charities

A TEAM called the Puddle Ducks made a big splash for charity by taking part in the Lions Swimarathon and raising £929.

It was the first time Pera had entered a team and Anthea Bate, Anne Windsor-Houghton, Clare Dooley, Sam Haynes and Derek Fraser swam 110 lengths in their allotted 55 minutes, raising £464.50 between them.

Pera then doubled the total which saw the team receive a shield for most sponsorship raised.

Mr Fraser, team captain, said: “Everyone really enjoyed the whole experience.”
