Superheroes and comic legends set to descend on Melton

The Melton Mowbray Comic Con, at the Stockyard on Saturday October 19, is suitable for all ages and the organisers promise attendees a great place for pop culture and toy collectors and a fantastic family day out.

It will be a chance to see the Batman vs Superman Tumbler plus the ever-popular Lightning McQueen car on display,

There will also be a chance for a retro rewind playing on classic gaming consoles in the Retro Gaming Zone.

Visitors are encouraged to wear costumes from comic and film heroes and enter a competition – they can have their photograph taken on the event’s ‘Green Screen’.

There will be a hall full of stalls selling all sorts of geeky, crafty and retro merchandise and lots of exhibitors selling a range of stuff for everything from Star Wars to Stranger Things.

The event will have a display of cars from the movies.

Organisers will also offer some free activities, including face painting, prop photo opportunities, card and board gaming.

For those visitors with additional needs who would find the event more enjoyable in a quieter atmosphere, they can attend at 9.30am when the event is not crowded or loud, before the main entry, which is at 10am.
