Sign up to participate in Dove's daring fundraisers

Staff at a day care facility are appealing for daring people to sign up and take part in two extreme challenges to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Dove Cottage day hospice, in Stathern, requires 20 people to take part in a charity head shave at its summer fete in May, or a sponsored skydive at Langar Airfield in June.

Georgina Steward, who is helping to organise the events, said: “It’s our big 20th anniversary this year so throughout most of 2016 we are ‘20’ everything, 20 to shave their head, 20 people to skydive and we have organised a 1920s summer ball.

“We want people to take part to fundraise for Dove to keep it running at the high care standard.”

The skydive takes place on Monday, June 20 and there is a £60 registration fee per person. Each person must pledge to raise at least £300. The headshave takes place on Sunday, May 15.

If you think you can make a bald statement and brave the shave or would like to participate in the skydive call 01949 860303; email [email protected] or visit www.dovecottage.org
