Safety survey carried out at ‘treacherous’ Bottesford junction
Highways England completed the site survey of the A52 turn off to the village where inspectors looked at its efficiency and whether any changes need to be made to it.
Mrs Kearns, who requested the survey, has been working with key stakeholders, including neighbouring MPs and local authorities, to both improve the safety of, and reduce pressure on, the busy junction. Results of the study will be made public shortly.

“I await the survey’s findings and then the next steps is proposals to make the junction safer.
“In the meantime, I’ll continue my work to reduce pressure on the A52 and hope residents will kindly assist me in responding to my survey on Bottesford’s railway provision.”
Since her election, Mrs Kearns has worked to reduce pressure on the A52 at Bottesford by improving train services locally too.
She submitted a bid for the Department of Transport’s ‘Restore Your Railway Fund’ – which seeks to make the poacher train line at Bottesford more reliable and efficient.
