Pickwell runner Freddie to run the London Marathon in memory of his mother
Freddie Allen, 28, from Pickwell aims to raise £2,000 for equine charity, Brooke, in memory of his mum Jo who passed away in 2012.
Freddie said: “Mum adored animals of all shapes and sizes, probably why our home in Pickwell was often described as a zoo.
“I’m honoured to run the London Marathon for Brooke, and all donations to this cause will be greatly appreciated.”
He said that his mum would be very proud of him running to raise money for Brooke because horses were her life, and they still are for his family.
Freddie’s family equine connection goes back many years, his parents met in the equestrian world and both regularly competed at the Burghley Horse Trials .
