One of the organisers Daisy Holland said: “We had a great time and a wonderful day. It was lovely to see so many people of different ages and abilities playing netball and having fun for a good cause.

“There were a number of visitors that turned up unannounced which was a pleasant surprise, and we had 11 teams compete in the mix team play matches.”

Helena Gowing, Jola’s sister participated during the course of the event and Jola’s parents attended to show their support. There was also a cake raffle which raised additional funds.

In total over £700 was raised on the day with around £170 being donated online to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
