A plucky Melton student has jumped out of a plane at 12,000ft for charity.

Teenager Jamie Gordon, who attends MV16, took on the skydive to mark his 16th birthday and to raise money for Parkinson’s UK.

Jamie’s motivation for doing the challenge was his aunty being diagnosed with Parkinson’s a few years ago.

He said: “Despite being really nervous, I fulfilled a lifetime dream. The experience was fantastic.

“I leapt from the plane at Langar Airfield and raised £460.”
