Melton hiker Sophie scales the peaks with work colleagues to raise £138 for charity

Sophie Brooks, the branch manager at the town’s Nottingham Building Society, finished a 12 kilometre trek in just three hours, walking from Over Haddon, near Bakewell, to raise funds for charity SportsAid.
She was accompanied by a team of three other branch managers from the Nottingham Building Society.

“The boots definitely took a battering but we were helped out on the day by a fantastic group of friends and family who helped us raise £138 and counting.
“The money we raise helps with all the costs that athletes face including their travel to competitions and training.
“Although we took on a similar challenge last year, we had a proper route this time which helped. I am really hoping this could become an annual thing.”
