Melton burglary suspect one of six people arrested in police operation
Jamie Lee Sanderson, of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of theft from stores, one in July in Leicester and the other in September in Melton, plus one count of theft of a pedal cycle market in Market Harborough in October.
Officers assigned to Operation Cabriolet executed warrants at a number of locations over the two-day enforcement, targeting those who were suspected of crime in live, unsolved investigations, who were the subject of prison recalls or wanted on warrant.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul McKinder who led the operational activity, said: “Phase four of Operation Cabriolet has yet again been successful, with officers making 15 arrests and charging six people.
“Our aim was to go out into the community, targeting those who are causing the most harm at this time of year.”
Of the 15 arrests made, four have been released under investigation, two have been released with no further action, one person has been given a conditional caution, one has been dealt with by a community caution and one has been recalled to prison.

DCI McKinder said: “The concentrated days of action have been a great success with a number of people now off the street who were targeting vulnerable people and businesses across the force area.
“We will continue to do all we can to bring those who commit offences in our communities to justice.
“This has been a successful operation but we still need the help of the public going forward.”
