Hide AdRedmile CE Primary School executive headteacher Julie Hopkins said staff and pupils were delighted with their re-accreditation of the award.
She said: “The children were invited to sing their new school rule song at the presentation held at National Space Centre in Leicester. This was one of the many tasks they completed over the course of this year. After consulting the whole school they realised that few children could remember all the school rules that were in place. So they asked them about the things that matter most and they put the ideas to the tune of ‘Mamma Mia’ to create a memorable school rule song.
“The children got so much out of leading this initiative and were great ambassadors for the school. The award helps the whole school community reflect on behaviours and attitudes that help to shape their future. Thanks to Sue Bosley and Caroline Harrison from Leicestershire County Council for all their encouragement with the award.”
