Matilda, 10, loses her locks for the Little Princess Trust

Matilda decided to have her hair cut and wanted to donate at least 10 inches of her own locks to the Little Princess Trust as well as raising sponsorship for the charity - which provides real hair wigs to children who’ve lost their own hair through cancer treatment.
Matilda recently had her hair cut at the Diamond Hair Salon in Melton’s Bell Centre, two days before her 10th birthday. Family and friends were there to give her support and so far she’s managed to smash her £350 fundraising target by raising over £800 in sponsorship.

“However she’s really happy with her new hair style which she proudly showed off to her school friends straight after the haircut at a surprise party we had organised for her 10th birthday.
“As well as donating over 12 inches of her hair she has raised over £800 of sponsor money to donate to the Little Princess Trust. It’s an amazing achievement and we’re incredibly proud of her.
“Matilda would like to thank her family and friends for their support and especially everyone who has sponsored her and made donations to the Little Princess Trust.”
