Knitted bible scenes educate church visitors
The Ladies of Sage Cross Methodist Church and the Melton Methodist Circuit have knitted Bible characters to form 31 scenes from the Old and New Testament.
Teachers, toddler group leaders and community groups were invited to a private viewing of the exhibition on Friday and members of the public attended on Saturday.

Rev Jane Carter, Superintendent Minister of the Melton Mowbray Methodist Circuit, said: “We had a few teachers show an interest but not as many as we’d hoped for. Everyone who attended commented on how wonderful the displays looked.”
“The characters took 18 months to make and the next step is to take them into schools and show them off in assemblies.”
Anyone wanting to loan out the displays can hire them through the circuit office. There is no charge but donations are requested to help support a school in India.
