Coronavirus: Belvoir Castle and its gardens shut down

Belvoir Castle and its gardens are now closed in accordance with government directives.

Its 16-acre green landscape was open for visitors at the weekend for the last time, but no longer.

The castle will be shut until further notice as well as the venue’s Engine Yard artisan shopping village. Some of the stores are still offering an online shopping service - see the website for updates.

Emma, Duchess of Rutland, said: “I would like to reassure you that the decision to close has been taken to protect the health and wellbeing of all.

“We will be posting updates as soon as we have them on our website and social media, so please look out for these.

“We look forward to welcoming you back soon.”
