Here at the Melton & District Money Advice Centre (MADMAC) we have found, when visiting schools or even with adults attending our courses, that males ask the questions: How can I make more money? How do I start investing? How can I run my own business?

So, there’s a lot of work to be done to help speed up the suggested 257 years before we see shifts and changes.

Female Invest is a great platform that encourages females in their learning on financials and investments.

Does it take females longer to bounce back from divorces and relationship splits? In my experience, usually yes.

Do I have any suggestions we could all do? Education, education, education!

Build your financial confidence.

Here at MADMAC our strap line ‘finding financial freedom together’ helps as we walk people through a journey of helping them understand where they are now and where they could be.

Build knowledge, read books on subjects that interest you, follow people that inspire you to achieve the dreams you want to achieve.

The younger we can teach young girls about how to build wealth and invest, the greater the possibility that they will have the keys to great financial futures.

Female Invest have a great book called ‘Girls just want to have funds’; and also an app that gives great info, webinars, training and a pretend platform where you can learn all about how stocks and shares work.

Setting a financial goal is a great start.

If this can be measurable and time specific then you will see the results, and this can encourage you to set more goals.

Learning and educating yourself should never stops as there are always new things to learn in our ever changing society.

Having a positive money mindset is key to getting past current and future hurdles we all can face and knowing that you are key to changing the male and female divide we currently live in.
