Despite the challenges that arose from the hot, dry summer this year, a similar number of exhibitors took part.

There were 107 classes, for which 19 trophies were awarded.

In the home-craft section the Rutland Cup was won by Angela Tapson, and the Rutland Cup, for arts and crafts was awarded to Chris Jesson.

The biggest cheer of the afternoon though was reserved for winner of two of the top horticultural trophies - Vic Martin, an organiser and supporter of the show for many years.

The highest horticultural award, the Everard Cup, went to Mr A Skelton.
