Another new name will be engraved on the shield this year; “The Long and the short of it” comprising Bob and Karen Thompson, Joe Ecob and Beah Hanks.

The winning team were in seventh place going into the final round but they had saved their joker, thus earning double points and ended up one point in front of the second placed team “Clawson Clots.”

At half time the quizzers enjoyed a light supper together with a variety of homemade and shop bought cakes.

The £574.50 proceeds from the event including the raffle and sales of quiz sheets were donated to Vista, (the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland charity that aims to improve the lives of people with sight loss) taking the total donated so far this year to £880.10.
