I, too, am deeply concerned about factory farming, especially chickens, not only the method of rearing and slaughtering, but their transportation as well.

Some days ago I passed a very large lorry containing live chickens in crates going to goodness knows where and it really upset me.

I will not buy chicken unless it is from a local butcher, knowing that it has been reared and transported humanely.
