New-look Post Office launches in Asfordby

The service is provided at an open-plan counter in the store, where the Post Office terminal sits alongside the retail till.

The Post Office service is available during the store’s opening hours Monday to Sunday, 6am to 9pm.

Area manager Caroline Pritchard said: “We’re confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.

“We’re making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.

“The opening hours, which will increase by 59 hours, will ensure the newly refurbished branch is more convenient for users.

“Local residents and small business customers will be able to access a wide range of Post Office and mail services including special delivery, local collect, home shopping returns, online banking cash deposits and withdrawals.

“Other services include withdrawals using a Post Office card account, sending funds abroad using Moneygram, and customers can also pay bills, pre-order travel money, apply for travel insurance and top up mobile phones.”
