Motorcyclist in hospital after Broughton Hill incident

Both carriageways have been closed for three hours since emergency services were deployed to the incident, near Nether Broughton.

A spokeswoman for Leicestershire Police said: “We were called to reports of a single vehicle incident, involving a motorcycle, at 1.09pm.

“The ambulance service were called out and the road was closed in both directions with a fuel spillage on the carriageway.

“One person was taken to hospital by ambulance.

“It is understood that the person did not sustain serious injuries.”
