Melton Times letter: Sinkhole versus landslide

I recently read in the news about the gigantic sinkhole that appeared on a main road network in Fukuoka, Japan, and how in six days it was repaired.

Surely, this makes a mockery of the repair carried out to the small landslide on the A606 Broughton Hill, which happened in June this year and wasn’t repaired until September. The closure of this major road from Melton to Nottingham caused extreme inconvenience to many drivers.
