Melton Santa fun run gathers momentum

Organisers The Rotary Club of Melton Mowbray are hoping this year’s seventh annual event will attract 300 entrants - beating last year’s 250 runners.
There are two routes around Melton Country Park including an energetic five kilometres or a more layed back one mile stroll. The fun run is open to individuals, families, groups and companies. It’s also suitable for wheelchair users and dog walkers.

Julia Hinde, one of the organisers, said: “Come and join us for a bit of exercise and a lot of fun. There is a Santa suit for everyone!
“We already have teams for the British Heart Foundation, Rainbows, Dogs Trust, Marie Curie, MacIntyre, Make-A-Wish, the Stroke Association and many more.”
Registartion takes place at 9.15am. The popular best dressed dog and cutest child competition begin at 10.15am and at 10.40am, a warm up will be lead by Healthy Elf.
