Major road near Melton blocked after collision
Drivers are being advised that the A606 near Melton is blocked in both directions following a collision.
Emergency services are at the scene of the incident, which was reported around 11.30 this morning (Friday).
Leicestershire Police have released a brief statement which reads: “The Oakham road A606 near the Leesthorpe and Whissendine turns is completely blocked due to a police incident.”
Motorists are advised to take alternative routes while firefighters and an ambulance crew deal with the incident.
