Dozens of characters from the holy book were re-imagined in a knitted form and put on display at Long Clawson Methodist Church to help educate young people about its stories.

Multi-coloured versions of Noah’s Ark, Daniel in the lions’ den and Jonah and the Whale, all created by The Ladies of Sage Cross Methodist Church and the Melton Methodist Circuit were lent out to the church and placed in windows and on tables around the building for a showcase on Saturday.

Tea, coffee and cakes were served to visitors.

Donations raised at the event will go towards helping the circuit which is supporting the children’s hostel in Karur, South India.
