Great Dalby house damaged after being hit by car

A house was damaged at Great Dalby on Saturday night when it was hit by a car which had been travelling through the village.

The incident was reported at 10.35pm, on Top End, with an ambulance crew and firefighters from the Melton station being deployed to the scene along with a technical rescue team from the city’s Southern Fire Station.

A Leicestershire Police spokesman said: “It was reported that a car – a Ford Fiesta – had collided with a house.

“A 21-year-old man was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre, in Nottingham, to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

“Enquiries into the incident are continuing.”

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Information was received from police that a vehicle had collided with a house in Great Dalby.

“On arrival, fire Service crews advised that no persons were trapped but there was damage to the property.”
