Firefighters tackle blazing car in Asfordby Valley
Firefighters from Melton were alerted to a blazing car in Asfordby Valley on Friday night.
The incident involved a Ford Puma, was reported to be on fire in Brook Crescent.
Scott Smith, crew manager at Melton Fire Station, said: “We were alerted at 9.27pm on Friday night and were quickly on the scene.
“One firefighter, in a breathing apparatus set, used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, which is thought to have been started deliberately.”
