Firefighters alerted to rescue pony at Burton Lazars
Firefighters have this morning (Monday) been rescuing a pony which got stuck in a ditch at Burton Lazars.
A Melton crew were joined by two applicances from the city’s Southern station at the incident, which was reported at 9.45am.
A Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service spookesperson said: “A call was received advising that a pony was stuck in a ditch in undergrowth.
“Fire Crews have been cutting away hedgerow to gain access to the pony.”
