This year’s commemorative day on September 13 promises to be particularly special as 2016 marks 100 years since the storyteller’s birth.

The event at the church will take place next Saturday (September 10) from 10.30am until 12noon and will include a number of Roald Dahl themed activities and the chance to win two cinema tickets.

A church spokesperson said: “Come along to our next Saturday activities morning at St Mary’s Church and help us celebrate 100 years since the birth of one of world’s best storytellers, Roald Dahl.

“Everyone is welcome and all the entertainment will be free.”
