The activities, which were part of the nationwide ‘Love Your Parks Week,’ were organised by the Melton Mowbray Town Estate for the sixth year running.

The programme, which attracted in excess of 200 people, included free tennis, five-a-side football and crazy golf, train rides and a concert by the Nottingham Concert Band and the Ibstock Brick Brass Band.

Visitors were also encouraged to take a look at three new ‘interpretation boards,’ recently installed in Egerton Lodge Memorial Garden, to remember fallen servicemen.
