“The accident occurred at Doran’s Bend, on the first lap of the third qualifying session.

“Daniel made his Mountain Course debut in 2016 as a competitor in the Manx Grand Prix before graduating to the Isle of Man TT Races.

"He had achieved a number of podium finishes during his 10 years’ experience of competing – most notably achieving a first place in the 2024 Senior Manx Grand Prix.

“The Isle of Man TT Races pass on their deepest sympathy to his wife, Helayna, and his son Joey and daughter Phoebe, as well as his family and friends.”

Dan raced for the Castings Technology Motorsport team, alongside his older brother, Jamie, who posted a poignant tribute to Dan on social media.

It reads: "You are going to be truly missed Daniel Ingham, I couldn't have asked for a better brother, you achieved so much in a sport you lived and breathed day in day out all the hard work to get to the top, achieving your dream of winning that senior Manx GP.

"I love you so much. I'm going to miss you."

Castings Technology Motorsport confirmed Dan’s passing on Thursday ‘with heavy hearts and profound sadness’.

Their message reads: “Our thoughts and prayers are with Dan's immediate family: Helayna and the children (Joey & Pheobe), Martin, Amanda, Jamie, Laura and Trev, team members and close friends at this impossibly difficult time.

"Gone too soon Dan - the nicest guy in the paddock and forever our Superstar #35.”

Dan’s fatal accident followed serious crashes involving Sidecar competitors and an incident in which six spectators and a rider were taken to hospital after a race bike veered into a group of people.
