Easter joy for all at enchanted Mad Hatter's Tea Party

Facepainting and fairy spotting were just two of the weird and wonderful Easter activities on offer at a magical Mad Hatter's Tea Party.

The family fun event was held at the Scalford-based Old Brickyard Tea Garden on Easter Monday.

Other activities included meeting the sock dragon, 
following a garden trail, craft stalls, children’s games 
and Easter decoration making.

There was even a visit from the Queen of Hearts and Mad Hatter who turned up to help serve and entertain visitors.

As befitting a tea party, there were also hot brews and Easter-themed cakes to 
enjoy.

Anna Stasinska, owner of the tea room, said: “We had a fantastic Mad Hatter’s day 
despite the appalling weather!

“We even had snow at one point, but it didn’t deter the crowds and luckily we had plenty of lovely things to see and do under cover, including lots of tea and cake in our cosy tea room.

“We were blown away by the number of people that came so thanks goes to all.”

l The tea room will be open every weekend and the next event will be Royal afternoon teas to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday at the end of April.
