Deadline extended for Trumpton donation requests

There's now more time for charitable causes, groups and worthy individuals to apply for a share of the record-breaking £6,664 raised by this year's (2015) Trumpton tour.

Trumpton committee member and Melton firefighter Scott Smith said: “Having recently reviewed all the letters sent in for Trumpton donations we still have a little bit of money left and have therefore extended our cut off date for requests to 6pm on Sunday, February 14.

“Please can people state their good cause, item/gift/amount of money they require and it will be looked at by the committee.”

Any local charities, groups or individuals who would like to suggest a potential beneficiary can write to: The Trumpton Committee, Melton Mowbray Fire Station, Nottingham Road, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, LE13 0NP.

Please include your name, address and contact numbers.

Successful applicants will be invited to attend a presentation night later this year.
