Villager faces £1,352 bill for his crimes

A 20-year-old Garthorpe man has been ordered to pay more than £1,300 after admitting two counts of criminal damage and being in possession of a baseball bat as an offensive weapon.

Blake Gordon, of Wymondham Road, appeared before Loughborough magistrates to face the charges.

He pleaded guilty to causing £850 damage to a window at the Half Moon pub in Melton back in December last year.

Gordon also admitted being responsible for £327 damage to the window of a Kia Sportage in Robin Crescent last November.

And he entered a guilty plea to having the bat in his possession, also in Robin Crescent, on the same date.

Magistrates made community orders against him for the three offences where he will have to do 120 hours unpaid work.

Including court costs of £85, Gordon has to pay a total of £1,352 for the crimes he committed.
