Police seek witnesses to Long Clawson farm raid

Police are appealing for witnesses after burglars got away with a collection of tools from a farm near Melton.

Two chainsaws, a strimmer and hedgcutter, three drills, an impact driver and a circular saw were all stolen from an outbuilding off Broughton Lane in Long Clawson.

The incident dates back to Thursday November 24 and officers want potential witnesses to come forward if they saw anything suspicious on that date, between 1am and 4.30am, when the tools were taken.

Pc Melissa Stapleton, of Leicestershire Police, would like to hear from anyone who has any information in relation to the incident.

She said: “It is likely a vehicle was used to leave the farm and may have driven past CCTV cameras in the area.

“We would urge people to review their CCTV for the night of November 24 and please get in touch with anything that may help us identify a vehicle.

“Please also make contact with us if you have seen or heard of any of the stolen items being offered for sale.”
