Police investigate tractor theft at Wymondham

Police are appealing for witnesses after a tractor was stolen from a property near Melton.

The vehicle - described as an International Harvester 276 from 1968 - was taken from The Mere, on the outskirts of the village, on Monday September 21, at around 7.30pm.

Officer believe the tractor - registration WWY242G - was loaded onto a trailer which was being towed by a white or silver four-door pickup.

Det Con Sam Bates, the investigating officer for Leicestershire Police, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw the tractor being taken from the location, or knows of its whereabouts.

“We want to ask residents if they have seen it in the area, or seen it listed for sale?

“Any information you have could help my investigation.”
