Scott Johnston (35), of Lancia Close, Coventry, and Scott Warner (33), of Missing Oak Close, Bedworth, targeted four Tesco Express and 15 Sainsbury Local convenience stores in the early hours of the morning. Wearing masks and dark clothing, they forced the main doors of the premises and ransacked the self-service tills for cash before making their getaway.

The pair attacked stores, stretching from York to the Isle of Wight, between May 18 and July 17 last year. Melton’s Sainsbury Local, on Nottingham Road, was the third store they hit on May 21.
